Hi Guys,

I have been using Samsung Pay for a long time now, I used to I be able to keep NFC off and Samsung Pay would automatically turn it OFF and ON depending on need (one reason why I like Samsung pay better than Google pay). But from last few days Samsung Pay has stopped turning OFF NFC after transaction, while automatic ON still works.

Any fix for this? I suspect it has something to do with system software update pushed recently to device.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you.

No worries. Couple things you can try:

- Open Settings → Apps → Samsung Pay → Storage

Clear data and clear cache

* Note that you need to re-activate the card again on Samsung Pay

Try again when you have chance.

- If above solution not working, try to do a Wipe Cache Partition

- Power off your phone
- Press and hold vol up, power key, Bixby key until you are in recovery mode
- use vol up and down to navigate
- select Wipe Cache Partotion
- press power key to confirm
- click yes
- click reboot system

Test again and see if it turns off or not.

- If above suggestion not working, you may need to try reset Network settings. Make sure you have all the Wifi password in hand. If you have other bluetooth devices, you need to pair then again. You can find the setting at

Settings → General Management → Reset → Reset Network Settings

Try and test Samsury Pay again.

NFC must be tu on automatically on my S20 Ultra, mind you I've never check, but no issues with Samsung Pay at all.

Generally, it seems that when ever there's any issues, the latest update always seems to get blamed.

Thing is, it's almost never the latest update that is causing any issues.

I don't understand, but why disable it at all after payment? And why use maps at all? If I used only cards, then I would have been left without money for a very long time. As it is, I prefer to keep money in electronic wallets more. This way I pay less attention to the fact that I have money. Not so long ago I got myself a wallet on the https://genome.eu/ website and was satisfied.
