Suddenly my brand new S24 Ultra no longer able to see any 5 GHz WiFi networks. Other devices are still able to discover such WiFi points and connect to them.
Network reset and reboot did not help. A 3rd party WiFi scanner shows nothing for 5Ghz band. What could be a reason?
It happens after applying 3 Dec firmware update couple of days before but maybe not related directly, since right after applying the update the bug did not introduce itself immediately.

Hi Ironfog,

We are sorry to hear that your'e experiencing this issue after the update.

Forget and Reconnect to Wi-Fi: Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi. Forget your 5 GHz network. Re-scan for available networks and try reconnecting.

Third-party apps or settings, like advanced WiFi manager apps or aggressive battery optimization, might be interfering with WiFi performance. Try disabling any apps that manage your network connections or power-saving settings.

You mentioned that network reset didn't help, but it's worth performing a more thorough reset of the WiFi settings. Try the following steps:

Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Advanced settings and toggle off "Wi-Fi scanning" and "Wi-Fi optimization."

Reset the network again via Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings.

Thank you.

Thank you. I switched off some WiFi automation settings, switched off power saving mode, reset network settings, but I get the same result: total silence in the 5 GHz band. Later I can try the last resort: factory reset, but I can do it only after return from travel in two weeks.
It's really frustrating since it is used to work just a couple of days before.

Believe or not but later the same day the 5Ghz band was suddenly activated at my phone. I was able to connect to 5Ghz router and also WiFi scanner apps show 5Ghz points around. Not sure what happened and triggered it back to working condition. The case is closed :)
