Is there something your phone is not doing as compared to what it was doing when you bought it?

Do you really think you'll care about this update a month from now if you got it today?

The outrage and impatience on this site is hilarious.

Doesn't matter because the s23 ultra is in year 1 if it's already behind and phone being supported for 5 years how do u think samsung will do giving the s23 ultra android 17 when android 18 is in the betas or offical release

All things being equal, your S23 should have received the One UI V6.0 Stable update, with the October Security Patch.

Samsung started to release the update last week, and as has already been posted, there was a problem with the Stable version of One UI V6.0, so the release was halted.

Samsung has REALLY improved the speed of it's Android version updates, but I think that maybe they were a little to optimistic in trying to release the update before the end of October.

Remember that Google only just released it's Stable version of Android 14 to it's Pixel devices October 4th. Samsung has to take the plain Android OS, and build One UI with it.

It used to take MONTHS to get Samsung's version of the latest Android version they really have improved... no matter how mad you may be, I think that eventually you might even agree. 🕊

As has been stated, multiple times now, the October Security Patch was expected to be released with the One UI V6.0 Stable release.

Samsung has 90 days from when Google provides the Security Bulletins. It is the agreement that Google has with all OEMs running Android.

Your phone is not going to blow up / get hacked just because you are on the September Security Patch.

totally agree. Samsung has improved a lot in updating speed. Usually starts early next year

In Canada too. But I have the Fold 4 (and an s20 Ultra). Got the Oct. 1 update and 5.1.1, but noticed we tend to get the update 2-3 weeks into the month, sometimes every 2 months, while other countries seem to enjoy theirs faster. Maybe that's a Bell Mobility issue, not Samsung, but itll be a great day when the security or monthly updates come out regular like clockwork instead of sporadic. Be nice to have regular new feature drops like Pixel phones too.

I've also got the S20 Ultra, and it seems like it gets the monthly Security Patch Updates pretty regularly.. 🤔

I know it's just the s23 series in Canada the older flagships tend to be doing better
