I dont usually post One UI related posts but I was trying to compare how the update has progressed in the US vs Canada since both have identical hardware as far as Samsung phones are concerned.

So far in the US Samsung has updated the following: Galaxy S23 series including the S23 FE, S22 series, the good old S21 series, Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Z Fold 3, and Z Flip 3.

Meanwhile in Canada, Samsung seems to be focusing on newer flagships, at least. Apart from the S24 U, the Tab 9U, S10 Ultra, Z Fold 5 and 6. (There may be others since I stopped tracking).

Interesting to know how Samsung provides varied supports in these two regions.

Edit: Samsung has now released the OneUI 7 update for the S23 U and S24 FE

I'm convinced that the update is ready at the same time as the United States, but that the providers are the bottleneck. I could be wrong, but Apple and Google are still able to push updates directly to the devices rather than being distributed through providers.

Canadian Carriers have nothing to do with releasing any Updates.. they all come directly from Samsung's Servers..

only exception are Play System Updates, which come directly from Google.

Relax, have a coffee, and a Tim's maple glazed donut. While you are sipping and nibbling, praise Jesus that you did not install the buggy as Hell update as of yet.

The situation is the same in Türkiye. While the One UI 7 update has been released for the S24 and S23 series, it has not yet been made available for the S24 FE and S23 FE. This is particularly frustrating because the S24 FE is a newly released device, yet it still hasn’t received the update.

Samsung has rolled out the update for the S24 FE in almost every other region around the world. In Türkiye, it was originally announced that the update would be released between April 20 and 30. However, on April 30, the timeline was extended to May 20. Despite widespread frustration and backlash from users, Samsung has remained silent.

In protest, some users have sold their Samsung devices, while others have changed their CSC to manually install One UI 7. Unfortunately, due to Samsung’s regional update policies, the rollout continues to be delayed or disrupted in many areas.

You also gotta have in mind the carriers.
After the update is ready, it still has to be tested and approved for network testing by each carrier and the usually regulatory approvals in Canada.
The big 3 usually do this in waves. I figure at this point, it is the carriers that are creating the problem here.
(Even if you have an unlocked device)

That is actually not the case.

Carriers have minimal involvement with the updates, and it would have been done early on, if at all.

The information posted by the Canadian Carriers regarding testing, is nonsense.

It is not minimal at all... And it's not just the case here in Canada.. anywhere you go, you can have the same phone getting OS updates on different dates depending on network.
You had 3 customers getting IS updated before EE for example..

Believe what you want. This has been discussed many times.
