As far as hardware, I personally think that Samsung's S24 Ultra has the edge over Google's Pixel 9 Pro.
If you want the most consistent Software updates, then Google has the edge over Samsung.
I should point out, that aside from the recent, disastrous S23 Ultra debacle.. Samsung REALLY has DRAMATICALLY improved over previous years..

I have no interest in defending the inexplicable phoqueup, with the S23 Ultra.. So yeah, I am as annoyed as everyone else with.
I don't know if Google's communication with it's customers is as bad, or better than Samsung's, but Samsung's communication skills are abysmal, which is ironic since Mobile phones, is all about communication.

However, as said by RedDogRabbit, Samsung is the better phone overall. The S23 Ultra is smoother, faster, better for one-handed use, has a better speaker for phone calls and also for better hardware and features.
