pls help

hey guys...recently my s6 fingerprint scanner stopped working. It keeps showing this message but even if i reset it...it still does not work. Any suggestions?

In this application, try going to the Test Hardware function on it and test the fingerprint sensor. Also, have you tried removing fingerprints and resetting them up?

hey, thanks a lot for the reply. I did the test hardware test on this app and it doesnt even scan my finger. as for the second part, i cant remove my fingerprint because im pretty sure you have to click fingerprints to do so...which again doesn't work

I think if the diagnostic test doesn't calibrate properly in that test it would mean it's defective and may need repair, you could try cleaning it off with a microfiber cloth really well. And I think removing fingerprints you just have to enter your passcode. I'm on an S8+ so not sure if it's the same process on S6.

Hey guys! So unfortunately the methods provided by both of you did not work. However, for some reason I was holding my power button and I thought to myself what would happen if i heat it. So as I was holding it down, i put a blow dryer on it for a good 1 minute untill it got really hot. I then quickly went on the fingerprint setting and.....it worked! I can now use my fingerprint scanner again! Agian although your methods didn't help guys, I'm still very greatful that you guys tried to help!
