Galaxy Sthe pulse ox doesn't just use the same LED and sensor as the HR sensor? (similar to the devices used in hospitals) if so - seems like it would be easy to bring back.

Galaxy SYou could Uninstall the current version of Samsung Health & Download & Install Samsung Health version 6.4x
The O² sensor is still working on the S9 & S10 series devices (not sure about others).
But with Samsung Health version 6.4x you can use your device to measure your O² values.
IF you decide to revert to this version - Turn OFF Auto Update on the Play Store & Galaxy Store.
Here's the link to the Samsung app Health v6.4x from apk mirror.

Galaxy SThanks for the answers @ dejanh and @ mytech
Hey @ mmichie,
Galaxy S20/S20+/S20 Ultra do not support Heart rate sensor.
So we recommend to use wearable device(i.e. Galaxy Watch Active) with smartphone if you want to measure your Heart rate.
You can check available wearable model lists to measure heart rate with Samsung Health app.
Samsung Health > Discover > Product > Accessories.

Galaxy SSecondly, this feature was indeed arbitrarily removed from phones supporting it. Install the version provided by Shaggyskunk1 and follow his instructions. Rest assured, that link is 100% safe. I also use that version on my phone (a Note9) and have access to those very useful features. Though if you have a Note10 or S20 series phone, the required hardware was completely removed.

Galaxy SSo can anybody answer my question as to what this tells us, like how do we use this to help? Low readings means you're a sicko?
We know some around here don't need confirmation that they are sickos lol 😂 but still in all seriousness how do I use this to help?

Galaxy SIt tells me that Samsung wants to sell you their Wearables - I don't want to buy a Samsung Wearable - I kinda like the watch that I have.
Samsung has been on an unfortunate path of removing functions & features that they ridiculed other OEMs for not having - ie: Headphone Jack (iPhone) & kind of like their invasive advertising - Samsung is focused on selling to the point of ignoring the customers they already have.
