Galaxy SI didn't upgrade it to a 7.0? unless that's what would have happened with a routine software update?

Galaxy S@UserA from what I read on XDA, the only way to get rid of Knox is by flashing a custom rom. It's a bit complicated, wouldn't recommend doing it if you're not familiar with recovery and rooting. Unfortunately there's no other way.
