Repeat notifications

I have a new Samsung S26 and need to have repeat notifications on for Google Messages, so I don't miss work related messages. But even after I check my messages, it continues to keep sending sound notifications (forever). Does anyone know if there's a solution to this problem? I previously used Samsung Messages on my previous S24 and didn't have this issue.

Open Google Messages > Settings - Notifications and Toggle Off "Remind".
