Galaxy SExtremely unlikely, that it's even possible with the Snapdragon variant at this time.
Locked Bootloader and all. 😉

Galaxy SI don't use Google Pay, but try Uninstalling & Reinstalling Google Pay & see if that works?
The only other thing that I can think of right now would be to Backup with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.
I know that some apps don't seem to "like" being updated & short of a Factory Reset, Uninstalling & Reinstalling worked.

Galaxy SHi Deeezzyyy, we suggest you go for backup and reset.
Here are the steps to backup your data:
Backup from Samsung account--Apps > Settings > Cloud > Backup > Select the data > Back up now.
Backup from Google account--Apps > Settings > Backup and reset.
Here are the steps for factory reset,
Settings>>General management>>Reset>>Factory data reset>>Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Reset>> Delete All.
