Galaxy SAdvertised battery life, is kind of similar to what Auto Manufacturers say about fuel mileage. It's typically calculated using the best possible conditions, and generally it is never achievable in "real world" usage.
Denying apps permissions, to continuously run in the background, and always be "refreshing" data, is one effective way to improve your battery usage.
*Your mileage may vary 😉

Galaxy SUnless the two devices have the same apps, usage, location, network connectivity, settings, you can't really reach any conclusions regarding the battery. There are simply too many variables.
Things as "invisible" as which apps have location permissions, could have an effect on the battery.
I really wouldn't worry about it.

Galaxy SAgreed 100%. Unless you calibrate both phones as much as possible, too many variables. Compare these other settings on your friend's phone against yours:
- Wifi, BT, Location, NFC, Mobile Data (which are concurrently on)
- Ultra-Wide Band on or off
- Adaptive refresh rate on or off
- Screen brightness level
- Screen Resolution
- Network Connection max (5G, 4G/LTE, 3G, etc.)
- Dark Mode or Light Mode
- Processor Speed - Light or Optimized
