Recently purchased a S24, and since yesterday the phone keeps notifying me but when I go to my notifications nothing pops up.

but when I do actually receive a message from someone I get those notifications.

So what is notifying me and why cant I see what it is?

Hi Julian_Coal,

This issue may be caused by a system notification that isn't properly showing in your notification shade or an app running in the background generating phantom notifications. Here are steps you can try to resolve this:

Check for Silent Notifications: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification panel. Look for "Silent notifications" or hidden notifications. Sometimes, these might not appear prominently.

Check the list of apps that recently sent notifications. You might see an app spamming notifications silently. If you identify the app, disable its notifications or uninstall it if unnecessary.

Boot into Safe Mode:

Turn off your phone. Turn it back on, and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume Down button until the home screen appears.

Safe Mode disables third-party apps temporarily. If the phantom notifications stop in Safe Mode, a third-party app is causing the issue.

Reboot the phone to exit Safe Mode, and start uninstalling recent apps or less commonly used ones.

Check Notification Settings: Some apps send system-related notifications that don’t contain detailed content. Go to Settings > Apps > [App causing issues] > Notifications, and adjust or turn off unnecessary notifications.

Thank you.

If you don't already have it on your device download the app called Good Lock.

After you have this installed find the module called Nice Catch and turn on different settings to hopefully find out what you are getting notifications from

Your S24 might be notifying you of a background app or system process. Check Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Notification History to see what’s triggering it. If nothing shows, you can try Ray1's idea and downloading the good lock app and use "Nice Catch" to see what's causing it.
