Hi

Noticed my S25 is droping out on wifi intermittently, most noticable if left for a few hours or overnight, the connection will be lost. Shows connected but no internet. Missing emails and notifications due to this, its super annoying. When i wake up in morning its has always no internet apps just hang waiting for network to respond. As if its gone to sleep, sometimes it recovers once picked up after few mins, then slew of notifications come through, or i have to manually turn wifi off then on again.

Playstore sonetimes suddenly stops downloads of apps part way through and just hangs until wifi switched off and on again.( it did this fresh out of the box! )

All over devices on the network are fine. Old S21 is fine.

Tried all the usual things.

*removed wifi network from phone, re added

*rebooted phone and router

* checked power settings, adaptive is off

*tried different network 2.4 or 5ghz same issue

*turned off wifi7 in hidden wifi menu.

*turned off all inteligent wifi options like turn wifi on/off automatically etc

*tried different dns on phone

*seems more bit more stable on wifi5 networks (at work) but can still drop.

* all updates downloaded from software update, playstore and samsung app store

* phone in kindsuit case, about 4ft away from router and still drops.

Please let me know if this maybe needs to go back as faulty, but noticing other posts with the same issue. Seems there might be an issue with S25 wifi

Hopefully just a future software update will fix it?

Thanks.

Actually just ran through troubleshooter on samsung repair. One option said to check that wifi is set to stay on and never sleep from wifi advanced settings, but this option does not exist on my phone.

Only other option is hard reset which will take hours and i bet it wont fix it. It can go back for refund if i have to reset.

Reset network settings?

Go into intelligent Wi-Fi settings and try disabling whatever is enabled, like turning Wi-Fi on and off automatically or switching to better WiFi networks.

I don't have an answer now. But sounds like a DNS issue because in your description "the connection will be lost. Shows connected but no internet". If Physical WiFi has problem, the WiFi icon will disappear and then re-appear.

Mean while, try to do a wipe cache partition for your phone and see if it helps.

- Power off your phone
- Press and hold vol up and power key until you are in recovery mode
- use vol up and down to navigate
- select Wipe Cache Partition
- press power key to confirm
- click yes
- click reboot system

Hi waterhd112,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your Galaxy S25's Wi-Fi connectivity. We understand how frustrating it can be to miss notifications and emails due to intermittent drops, and we appreciate the detailed troubleshooting steps you've already taken.

Rest assured, we are actively investigating such reports to ensure optimal performance. In the meantime, we recommend the following:

If your router is set to WPA3, try switching to WPA2 or a hybrid WPA2/WPA3 mode to see if the connection stabilizes.

Please ensure both your router and device are running the latest firmware versions.

Wi-Fi Sleep Settings: Confirm that "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" is enabled under Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Advanced.

If other steps don’t resolve the issue, consider performing a factory reset. Please back up your data beforehand.

I think it might be some malicious file in your storage. I had a very similar problem. Then I purchased a newer phone. I transferred all the files to the new phone. The old phone now suddenly had usable wifi and the new phone didn't.
