I understand that if you have never Flashed firmware before, it can be a little intimidating, but it's not that difficult & it's virtually impossible to actually brick a Samsung. There's a protected partition that will always let you get into Download Mode.
But you could always go to a Samsung Service center & ask them to Update your S8 for you.
