S8 USB problem?

Does anyone else have a problem with transferring files from PC to the s8?

I have the s8+ and my macbook doesnt seem to recognize it. The only way for me to transfer is by using the stupid Smart Switch app.

Also, my car audio doesn't seem to detect my phone either. I can charge by USB cable but can't play medie through the USB.

Is your cable factory provided? try using different cable. Also smart switch and Android file transfer don't work together. you have to get rid of smart switch if you wish to use android file transfer. I had that problem when i used kies 3 provided during GalaxyS3. I contacted support of AFT(android file transfer) they said i have to remove kies 3 for AFT to work.

I downloaded AFT first but it kept telling me to connect my device when it was already connected so I dled Smart switch but managing files on that is not convenient. i tried using the cable that came with my phone and 2 other cables i bought else where.

I tested my s8 on my macbook, it works perfectly on aft.

did you change any of the settings??? i just keep getting pop ups saying i should restart or replug my phone
