nothing to do with camera or S9 or Samsung. I can definitely tell you're using a SD card and it's damaged/corrupted.

Well yeah - Why would anyone buy a cheap sd card for a $1,000+ phone??

Sure a 1K$ phone isn't cheap but storage is something one should not skimp on, especially when talking about precious memories.

Happened to my dad. He saw a 256GB MicroSD Card online (which did not even have SDXC logos lol). He stored important data on it and... well guess what the real capacity was only 2GB. So that's 254GB of data written nowhere, lost forever

Absolutely, I wanted to say you're using a cheap sd card that's why it happened but thought you might got offended 🤣 You learned, I also learned when I first bought a $30 sd card for my S8+ and within a week all my pics & videos were lost & fuc*ed. Then I bought $110 SanDisk extreme with 10 years warranty and its going terrific. Don't skimp on sd card for your S9, buy branded with warranty ones and make sure it's 'uhs class i' at least. Set for life.

Use Google photos or Samsung cloud to back up the pictures. Then you won't lose every picture just recent ones if the card screwed up

and SanDisk. I hear most complaints from SanDisk. if you do lots of high res recording, best buy lexar. I have a few lexar 128GB 633x, never an issue

I agree with Adata. Had a few and they all failed in a short period of time.

Regardless, it's always important to have backups of important data. I mainly use cloud and external HDD for backups.
