Apple had thus technology YEARS ago when I had an Apple phone. I could tell Siri "remind me to buy laundry soap when I leave this location". Once I was 2 kms away from work (location I was leaving) I'd get a reminder to buy soap (or whatever). It was super convenient. I was really hoping Samsung would also have this ability but it doesn't seem possible.
I can only set reminders through Google to remind me of something when I ARRIVE somewhere.... not as convenient.
Anyway, hoping Samsung can get this up and running!!
Bixby Routines is on. How would it know my request if I don't speak to it? I'm not looking for a daily routine, looking to add one off reminders to my phone when needed. For example if I run out of dog food - I'll tell my phone to "remind me to buy dog food when I leave this location" so as I head into town (I live in the country) it will remind me to get dog food.
I was able to get this feature to work, but I had to manually set up the reminder which is fine, but Siri was much more user friendly as she set an audible notification tone automatically and pinned my location automatically as well. With the routine app I had to manually set it up, but was less convenient.
Is there a way to set up the routines app so it automatically creates an audible notification without having to manually select that option?
You can just say "hey Bixby, remind me to buy dog food when I leave this location" and then as usual drive away, it notifies you/alerts you to your reminder? Mine keeps saying it "cannot do that place. I'll set the reminder without it". :(
Is Bixby, it set my voice request in Reminder with my location address. If you are in country side, might be cannot define your address? I tried couple times and works for me. I can even change radius for detection too.
I FIGURED IT OUT!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR ANSWERS, THEY HELPED ME FIGURE OUT MY SETTINGS WERE NOT CORRECT. I was able to allow location services w Bixby when I use the app vs "ask every time".
