Smart Lock - Trusted Devices Missing

For the last couple of days I have had to constantly use my PIN or fingerprint to access my S23 Ultra. This morning I had a few minutes and looked in to why. I am an old codger and have hearing aids and I also have a Fitbit both of which I have set as trusted devices.

I was rather surprise to find Trusted Devices is missing from Settings -> Lock Screen -> Smart Lock.

I then wiped the cache partition and that did not help.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve it?

And, just like that, it has appeared back today. No update that I can see that may have triggered this.

Play Services updates in the background, unless you force the update, if one is available.

It was never a Samsung issue, but always a Google Play Services issue.

You can check to see if the version installed on your device is the same as the one in the screen shot.

Trusted Devices is available on this one.

as many notifications as possible must be sent to Samsung to reintroduce the function

It's unlikely that Samsung isn't already aware of the issue with Smart Unlock.

It's happened multiple times over the last few years.

Google is going to be launching Extend Unlock as a replacement for Smart Unlock.. we just don't know exactly when at this point.

Other than the odd Moderators on Samsung Members, pretty sure that no one from Samsung has ever looked at Samsung Members...

Just Google Search "Samsung Smart Unlock Not Working", and you'll find lots of posts about it.

So by your post if you own a Google phone, at some point you may get "Extend Unlock"?  (by the way, that's been reported for several months now, and nothing to date from Google)

But for everyone else that owns a  Samsung "S" series, what, we're screwed?  No support on this?  No Fix?

Now that's great support isn't it? The fix needs to happen now, not some weeks or months down the road.

Ridiculous.

Do you bother to read, or just feign indignation?

Smart Lock is Google's, not Samsung's.

Now you're talking, but deaf ears is a trend at Samsung.
