So, the status bar is supposed to change from black or white depending on the background colour. Mine keeps going back to white and now blends in with the wallpaper, and I can't see it. I have to restart my phone constantly. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm at a loss, android 12 is so buggy. It definitely wasn't ready yet. I wish google would focus on fixing what they have before creating new things.

Hi brandanct, we suggest you to perform wipe cache partition. Below are the steps to perform clear cache partition.
1. Turn off the unit.
2. Press and hold the volume up button and press and hold the on/off button.
3. When the Android logo is displayed, release all keys ("Installing system update" is displayed before displaying the Android system recovery menu options).
4. Press the volume down key repeatedly to highlight "wipe cache partition".
5. Press the Power key to select.
6. Press the Volume Down button to highlight "Yes" and press the Power button to select.
7. When the wiping of the cache partition is completed, "Reboot System Now" is highlighted.
8. Press the Power button to reboot the unit.

It works for a day or two then goes back. Android 12 and OneUI4 are a nightmare. This is why people switch to iPhone. Samsung needs to get it together. Nobody is helpful and it's SO frustrating. I didn't spend $2000 on a phone for it to not work and constantly piss me off

If the solution was that simple, I wouldn't be here. I'm not new to phones, I work in the tech industry, I know what I'm doing. Yet this issue keeps happening, and no ody at Samsung seems to know a **bleep** thing, or care for that matter. Give me one reason why I should keep spending my money with Samsung when they don't care? Or help?

I've noticed the same thing happening on my Note 20 Ultra after the Android 12 update, when that happens I just pull down the notification panel then close out and the status bar is visible again.

I just literally noticed this happen. I use dark mode and use darker backgrounds.  I just changed to an extremely pale, light, lightest beige almost white background.

My status bar did not turn black?
