I am disheartened that my new Samsung Galaxy S25+ does not allow me to turn off marketing and promotional notifications from Galaxy Store and similar sources. When I go to Settings > Apps > Galaxy Store, the "allow notifications" option is permanently on, with no option to turn it off.

I find these notifications intrusive and annoying. I will NEVER use any suggestion or buy any product or service that is promoted to me without my consent. I do not want to be a captive audience for Samsung advertising. Not giving customers the ability to turn off these notifications is terrible customer service. Is Samsung so hard-up for customers that they have to force users to see their ads?

I hope future updates will correct this.

If you go to Settings > Notifications & Search for the Galaxy Store, then Notification Categories you can toggle everything off.

I left Important Updates Toggled ON.

Hi laurak_wmtc,

We totally understand your frustration. However, as RedDogRabbit pointed out, you can go to:
Settings > Notifications > Galaxy Store > Notification categories. From there, you can turn off all categories except the ones you’d like to keep, such as Important Updates.

It’s a bit hidden, but this should give you more control over the notifications you receive.

Your concerns are absolutely valid, and we’ll be sure to pass this feedback along to the relevant teams. Hopefully, future updates will bring even more flexibility.

Thank you for raising this and thank you, RedDogRabbit, for the helpful input!
