Hello Samsung Members,

I have a Samsung S20 Ultra 128 gb phone and after the recent update I've been receiving the Warning: Camera Failed error. I've reset the camera app, cleared cache partition within the android reset, and I've also updated all apps. I ran the diagnostic and when it came to the rear Camera test everything went fine, when it came to the front Camera test there was a black screen and the diagnostic froze on that option.

My phone is doing exact same thing. Went through all of the prescribed "fixes" numerous times, reached out to customer support, customer support was totally ready to replace my phone until I told them there is a small Crack in the rear panel nowhere near the camera. They immediately stated this can now not be covered under any warranty and would have to be paid out of pocket. It is definitely a software issue that they apparently have no intent on fixing.

I also have the same issues started the same time and none of the fixes worked I believe the update caused the issue

The final prognosis at Samsung was that my main board was faulty and needed to be fixed. I also provided another post to that. They wanted me to pay for the replacement which would've cost $672. With a lot of forcing they escalated to the issue and Samsung fixed it for free. Good luck.

Hi i also have the same problem I updated to ui5.1 last night and now can't get my camera to work. I tried all the same things and nothing seems to fix. I have a lot of development experience and know my way around a phone I haven't downgraded to a lower ui yet but it looks like that's what it will take. Don't waste your time on a factory reset that won't fix it and if you're like me it takes forever to set your phone up just right. It IS NOT A HARDWARE ISSUE!! Don't buy into that garbage people are saying. It is DIRECTLY related to the update. I WILL figure out a way to make the camera work I just don't want to give an up thing up to do it.
