Wi-Fi calling
After updating one UI 6 in Canada Samsung S23Ultra. Wi-Fi calling not working as suppose to be. I have update wifi calling setting with my provider for make sure all up-to-date 911 information. Turn off and on the toggle, but still not working Wifi calling feature. Keep in note I have very high speed internet with wifi 6. Any solution for this ?

If you're talking about the Location Toggle in QS Tiles, I'm not 100% sure if that needs to be Toggled ON by you.

The phone already has those permissions, and can likely change the phone's settings independently.

We may also be talking about two different things... I'm mostly talking about the agreement with Rogers to give your location, BEFORE they enable WiFi Calling.

I'm not with Rogers, I'm with Bell, and Location was never required before the One UI 6 upgrade. According to the Bell representative I spoke with, they do not require location to be turned on in order for Wi-Fi calling to work, so this is definitely a software issue.

As for 911, I have registered my emergency address with my carrier, and if I want anyone to find me elsewhere, I can always turn Location back on.

Did you read my post?

In the first screen shot, I Toggled OFF Location, but WiFi Calling is Still enabled.

2nd screen shot is mostly what I am saying.

Finally, Bell, Rogers, Samsung's whoever's tier one Support you are talking to, are almost always working from flipcharts, ie: if this then answer that... They generally don't have any in depth knowledge of what they are talking about.

Yeah I think we are not communicating very clearly. Let's back this up.

Yes, if I turn my GPS location on, enable Wi-Fi calling, and turn GPS location back off, Wi-Fi Calling continues to work... for anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours.

Then it disables itself. Sometimes even right in the middle of a phone call (...and yes, I have specified that Wi-Fi networks are preferred over cellular networks in the settings, so it shouldn't be dropping my calls if I happen to catch a bar of cell service from time to time).

If I call 911 and they want to enable my GPS location remotely, AT THAT TIME, that's fine. I have that same option enabled for Find My Phone.

What I and others are trying to explain is that it has never been necessary to keep our GPS location turned on permanently in order for Wi-Fi calling to continue working... until the UI 6 update.

Contact your Carrier.

This is a Samsung suggestion. What do you think, people who come here they didn't know what a software issue is and what is the Carrier issue ? After so many people complain it's a software issue, it must have something that needs to be fixed in the first place.

I rely on wificalling and TRUE this is not working anymore with ui 6.0 !

Tried everything stated here, even clear cache in recovery. (clear data phone app, reset network, call provider (rogers), reset the wifi settings).

Reach the provider, and seems they have a lot of issue, and they told us this is Samsung !

Right now on every reboot, voWifi come back, but a short time then drop !

And I guess there's no  way to go back android 13???
