Just yesterday, we had a fire with our Samsung stove. While the oven was on, we heard a loud pop then immediately saw flames coming up from behind the stove at the control panel. Fortunately, we were in the kitchen at the time and we put out the flame quickly. The fire did not last long however, it could've been much worse. I did some research, and it appears that this is not an isolated issue with this model. There should be a recall- this could have caused severe property damage and possibly bodily harm. Should a fire extinguisher come with every stove?

I think we need some assurance that Samsung recognized there is a problem with these control panels- I am now scared! I have TV’s - a fridge are these going to burst into flames?

I've seen a bunch of negative experiences with Samsung Appliances here, but according to J.D. Power, Samsung's appliances have pretty high reviews?

I don't know if Samsung "bought" the reviews or not?

Samsung had better fix the knobs that turn on if bumped slightly.  I had five fires so far and smoke filled house as well as burned items.  I solved this by putting a thick quarter inch yardstick between knobs and stove frame to prevent the burners from being pushed in.  SAD.

This past Saturday May 4, 2024 we too had our Samsung Electric range catch fire. We were roasting vegetables in the oven and heard a pop, lots of black smoke followed by fire behind the control panel. Thankfully we happened to be in the kitchen at the time and were able to pull it from the wall and extinguish the flame. Had we left the house to take a walk then we most certainly would have been looking at a total loss. I am very concerned as this range has always had cook top control issues, overheating burners at low settings etc. I purchased this range in 2015 and feel that there are real problems that should not be ignored. We also have many Samsung appliances and other electronics. I am feeling a bit uneasy about having these around as well.
