Our stove caught fire as my wife had just put the oven on to warm up and she heard lots of popping. she had turned around and flames were coming out of the back of the stove right where the control panel is. she quickly shut off the oven and pulled the stove away from the wall and unplugged it. if she was not right there i am sure the house would have gone up in flames. is samsung going to do something for me since i have to look for another stove
Happened to me too. Exactly same story. Very dangerous and scary. My little ones got very scared. The house smells like burned plastic, but at least only the tile backsplash was affected. This past Saturday May 4, 2024 we too had our Samsung Electric range (NE59J7630SS) catch fire. We were roasting vegetables in the oven and heard a pop, lots of black smoke followed by fire behind the control panel. Thankfully we happened to be in the kitchen at the time and were able to pull it from the wall and extinguish the flame. Had we left the house to take a walk then we most certainly would have been looking at a total loss. I am very concerned as this range has always had cook top control issues, overheating burners at low settings etc. I purchased this range in 2015 and feel that there are real problems that should not be ignored. We also have many Samsung appliances and other electronics. I am feeling a bit uneasy about having these around as well.
Sounds like I'm having déjà vu! November 13 I was about to leave the house and heard a crackling noise. This was on top of the stove top that I wasn't even near or cooking on. I have exhausted all of my resources calling Samsung, chatting with Samsung someone coming to the house and checking it out and telling me I was at fault… Calling and writing to the Better Business Bureau and even as going as far as calling the financial credit card company to see if I could get out of owning this stove/oven at all! Samsung has absolutely done nothing for me and I think they should be standing behind a product that is very dangerous to having a home! Their resolution was that I should put childproof dials on the front dials of my stove. I'm not purchasing a $700 stove that I could put white plastic knobs on that look hideous! every time I go to my stove to cook it's like another thorn in my side! It also does not come clean on top like other smooth top stoves. I don't know what else to do to get this thing out of my house and I haven't even had it a year! it was delivered to my house on October 3, 2023. November 13, 2023 is when it caught fire.
Same problem here! Actually saw flames out of my range for no apparent reason. So scary, especially with my children in the house. I sure hope that some action is taken before a serious injury or damage. Considering the company is aware of the issue, if anything serious happens the liability is huge.
Does anyone know what Samsung is doing about this??
