I just wanted to share an issue that I had with our Samsung stove and possibly connect with others whom have had the same experience. While the oven was on, we heard a loud pop and saw flames coming up from behind the control panel. Fortunately, the fire did not last long and there was no damage done, however, it could've been much worse. I did some research, and it appears that this is not an isolated issue with this model stove.

You can download an excel report here from this US website;

https://www.saferproducts.gov/PublicSearch

There are also multiple reports on the US Samsung forums;

https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/forums/searchpage/tab/message?advanced=false&allow_punctuation=f...

The stove was manufactured in April 2016. A recall has not been issued as far as I know.

I contacted Samsung and they have agreed to replace the control panel, however, I am concerned that they are replacing the panel with an equally defective and potentially dangerous part. When I contacted Samsung to get more information regarding the replacement parts, I was brushed off and told not to worry. All that I am asking for is some assurance that Samsung have recognized there is a problem with these control panels and that the replacement parts are safe to use.

We just had the same thing happen to our stove! Is there a specific number to call for replacement parts? This could have ended horrendously!

NE59J7630SS/AA panel fire as well.  Mine was much worse than yours but was able to catch it before it did more damage.   Same scenario.  Pre-heat oven - control panel fire.   Imagine people who have WIFI enabled stoves pre-heating their oven while away from home.   Could result in such a tragedy.

Mine just lit up today while we were baking some cookies.

 thankfully we were in the kitchen and were able to get it pulled out and unplugged before there was any additional damage to the kitchen. Nothing like toxic black smoke filling your house. This appears to be a common problem? Should have been a recall. Officiallycially the last samsung appliance I will purchase for my kitchen.

Ours sparked and set fire last week. Samsung has so far refused to fix ours and only offered us a bit of money to "buyback" the stove. Seems like an issue destined for a recall or class action.image0.jpeg
