Help, I deleted text messages and I need to retrieve. They were not backed up. They must be saved somewhere.... phone memory?

I don't know if this help. If you are using Samsung Message app, click 3 dots on top right corner. Click Trash, the deleted messages will be there within 30 days.Screenshot_20230603_145625_Messages.jpg

I wonder why I do not have this option...oh I wish I did. My Samsumg phone was purchased in Canada? Different app version maybe?

I did a quick search, the trash for Samsung Messages app since Android 11. Is your device using Android 11 or One UI 3?

Hi, I saw that online! When hit the 3 dots, there is no Trash can option. When I chatted with Samsung CSR they said that only applied to the gallery, photos. Maybe it did apply to te texts at some point. Thx.

I saw your image. I wonder why my message app does not have that. Could be a diff version.

My old S8 and S9 have no trash can in the samsung messenger app, but my S10 and currently used S20 have the trash in the 3 dot menu.
