Greetings everyone, recently I had an issue with the moisture in charging port message..
While I could still charge my phone using a wireless charger, this still bothered me..
I tried all the online suggestions such as resetting my cache and data from my usb port and also using a force stop on Android system..
While this worked once, the issue came back a few weeks later and I knew I had never got my phone wet. I even tried putting my phone in a bag of rice.

Now for the SOLUTION:
I resorted to using some isopropyl alcohol and an artist brush and just cleaned my charging port thoroughly.
I'm guessing the charging cable got dust in it and transferred to my charging port.
In the end it was a very cheap and simple solution and I have also fixed other friends phones with charging issues too using the same method.
Hope this helps and saves you the frustration I had.

Hi, we are very sorry to hear this issue.

We appreciate your efforts by following all the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Please get the device examined by the Samsung Authorized service technician to know the root cause of the problem and get it resolved by visiting the link given below.

The cause was most likely dust from a charging cable that's left on the bedroom floor. If it arises again I will consider getting it checked. The main issue I have with any service agents is that a factory reset is almost always done which takes time to set everything back up properly.
As mentioned this is a very simple and safe solution that's well worth trying, but feel free to take appropriate action and delete this post if needed.
IPA dries very fast and is also a hospital grade cleaner, I have used a lot of cleaning chemicals and also solvents in my life and have a strong knowledge on what to use and what not to use.
Hope this helps others with a simple and safe method without cost or inconvenience.

Thanks for sharing your solution to the problem

Unfortunately moderators can't find that solution in their cut and paste list of solutions to problems😒

They clearly do NOT need to get the device examined by a tech.

I wonder if you could use a hair dryer from far away, so as not to melt or overheat anything(?)

This was also a suggestion which I tried but actual moisture was not the issue.
I would guess that dust on the charging port contacts produces the same message as water would.
Make sure the hair dryer is on a low heat setting.
Thanks for reaching out and adding good advice to this post 😊

If there is any actual moisture, then I would use a baggy of UNCOOKED rice & leave the device in a baggy half filled with the rice, overnight.

I've heard this works great, but uncooked rice sometimes has a fine dust or very small broken rice pieces in it...shouldnt we all be worried about this getting into the phone, And if the phone got wet later it would start growing some kind of fungus... Not a lot mind you but something..... I guess just add more dry rice.

If the initial moisture issue is resolved, then it would be a good idea to use some compressed air to blow out any dust.

Good thinking - Thanks 👍🏻
