Where's the AM & PM beside the time

Since this new Android latest update things are not so great with my note 9. Some issues has been fixed but I still can't figure out why there's no am or pm beside my time on the clock that's now on the left (not the best spot) nor on the lock screen.
When a person wakes up from being so hung over they would like to know if it's "morning or night" and not have to guess. Does anyone know how to put that back?

You can use System UI Tuner to move the clock to the Right or center - Don't remember if am/pm was there on Oreo

I just contacted support via chat. They deny that this change can be made. Yet another downgrade from Samsung. What a pathetic company.

Maybe the device is now in 24h format?

I use 24hr clock ..... so easy..

perhaps some responsible drinking is in order. all jokes aside, check if your phone isn't set to 24h format as CHM has mentioned
