Samsung DeXHi, is this planned to be added for galaxy S22 series?
Hi, I'm owner of Galaxy s10e with latest Android and OneUI updates. Samsung Dex gives very nice functionality to use 1 external monitor. But, when I connect to it two monitors the video output is mirrored to the second one. It would be nice to have an option to extend video output to the second monitor instead of just mirroring to it. Is there any plan to add such a functionality?
I'm connecting two monitors using usb type-c dock station.

Samsung DeXthe processor load really shouldn't be an issue. It is capable of displaying 4k on the phone screen. If they give you an option to make each display only 1080, that is 1/4th the image each. So then for 3 screens, the actual image processing is 3/4 of just the phone image, and account for 1/4 of the load being used to manage the three segregated images. Even then, it should have more capability, as it currently displays 4k on the phone and 1080 on the external screen.
Even if there was still a limit after all of that, it would still be seen as a very effective feature to down grade all three screens to only 720, if it allowed two external "extended" monitors.
So hardware should not be the excuse for a limit, it is only their willingness to make the software.

Samsung DeXConnect to the first monitor via cable. If you can choose and have a touch-capable monitor, take usb-c to usb-c, since that allows the Samsung device to process your touch gestures on the monitor. Otherwise, use a usb-c to hdmi adapter.
Connect to the second monitor using Dex, wirelessly. If the second monitor has built-in Miracast or Chromecast support, it works out of the box, otherwise plug in a suitable wireless dongle. In Dex, you can configure what the second monitor shows. That's it, enjoy.
Both monitors can have 4K resolution. The Samsung tablet hardware is no bottleneck here. The software is, however, since it would be possible, in hardware terms, to daisy-chain two monitors and have both enter extend mode, but Samsung throttles the software, which doesn't allow for it.

Samsung DeXWhile DeX itself doesn't support 2 external displays - it is possible to use 2 external displays with a DeX enabled smartphone and some apps then allow both displays to be used.
Here is VMware Horizon, for example, on 2 external monitors from a Note 9 a Windows 11 desktop is running on VMware Horizon and spanning both displays for a true dual monitor setup.
Here is a portable version using a lapdock- note Outlook is on one display and Word on the other.

Samsung DeXHi, this is actually nice suggestion. Thank you.
But the actual point is to find out if there is such a possibility on a hardware level with more powerful CPUs.
