[SOLVED] Cannot add membership card to Samsung Pay

Hey everyone,

I was unable to find anything related to my issue today with Samsung Pay. I think for this one it is best that you look at the attached video instead of me trying to explain.

So basically nothing happens no matter which card I choose, it's all blank.

Is this a Canadian device, and you are in Canada with a Canadian Carrier's SIM? 

What is the model number of your device? 

You can try Clearing Cache & Data for Samsung Pay, or even uninstall it & Reinstall. 

If you just Clear Cache & Data, be sure to Reboot before trying to add a Loyalty Card again.

See if that works for you.

It definitely looks like a glitch within Samsung Pay as there are no error messages.
Please respond with the model number of the device and also try the above steps by clearing the cache and data for Samsung pay

So if it is a USA or International model Samsung Wallet or Pay will not work in Canada? My device was a US model open box, saved $500. Great upgrade from the S8.
Seems rather short sighted (I'm being kind here) to develop software per country and not allow the device to upgrade the software to the country. Maybe it is part of a deal with the oligopoly of cellphone service providers in Canada, so they can charge their higher prices on their limit summary they didn't even have S phones with 256gb. They're a Govt sanctioned criminal syndicate.
I guess if there is no solution I'll delete the Samsung apps.

If you purchase the device from a country other than where you activate it, Samsung Pay will not work. Possibly to protect against money laundering, or other questionable enterprise?

If you purchase the device in the US & activate and use it with a US SIM card, you can use Samsung Pay in any country where the debit / credit cards associated with Samsung Pay are accepted.

Thinking of opening a US bank account after Canadian financial institutions started to freeze accounts of people that disagree with Trudeau. But, I'm not in the USA, bought the phone off a reseller from BestBuy.ca. I'm with Roger's until I do or if I leave Canada. Probably Govt mucking about with how this pay system should operate. Either way it won't work for me.

Well, I tried restarting the phone a couple times and it didn't help but then after reading the first 2 comments I uninstalled and reinstalled the Samsung Pay Canada app and it solved the problem. Whatever that was, it sure looked a hell lot like a simple glitch/bug. So my gratitude to @RedDogRabbit and @SnowCat19.
