I bought this hub from a friend and he probably forgot to remove it from his Samsung account. he forgot his account. how can i activate this hub at my co?

Hi, Welcome to the Samsung Members Community Canada. Please perform clear cache on your phone. To clear cache, go to Settings, swipe to, and touch Apps. Swipe to and touch the app you want to clear. Touch Storage, and then touch Clear cache.

Also, check if there is any app or device update available.

If the issue still persists, try to reset the hub and try activating it again.

To completely reset your SmartThings configuration, you can factory reset your hub with the steps found below.

Note: Removing the hub will restore its factory settings. All device connections, Automations, Scenes, configurations, and Services associated with that hub will be permanently deleted. All devices connected to your hub will have to be reset or excluded before they can be reconnected.

  1. From the Favorites or Devices tab, tap and hold the desired hub
  2. Select Edit and tap Delete device
  3. Tap Delete to confirm
