Ok so I am gonna say it. After the February update on the S23 Ultra, I have noticed serious battery drain. The issue is the S23 Ultra is not my main phone so I dont use it that often. Previously it could be there for 2 days before running outta juice since I dont use it that much.

Now, it doesn,t even last a day with little to no usage. After the update, Device Care informed me that MS Word was over using my battery and I uninstalled it. I don't even have much apps installed.

Something must be off with this update. Has anyone noticed same experience?

Try clearing cache of each app. U can also wipe cache partition if u haven't done that after the update

@mickinetsysystem already tried these before posting here, still no effect. Not sure where to take up this issue. Thanks for responding. If you have anyother information about where to take this forward, please let me know.

Hi Saransh27, could you clarify if you meant that those two apps are draining your device's battery?

Sounds like a typical complaint with mobile phone manufactures.  They let you use the device for a year to two years then put out an "Update" that starts the destruction action:  batteries no longer hold a charge, the phones become "picky" with charging sources, etc.  If they get you angry enough, you go buy a new device.  They all do it, they all deny it.  So frustrating!  I've had Samsung, Motorola, Apple, Google devices over the years and they ALL do it.

I've noticed this as well. My apps are put into deep sleep and this still happens. My old S9 used to warn me of high energy use apps and kill the drain. Nothing like that on the S23. Only thing that works temporary is a phone restart. I've seen this work for sometimes 3 days to a week then have to do it again. If you drop 5 percent in 30 minutes after charging its time to reboot.

I have dug through my phone apps and cannot find anything. Only apps I have awake are outlook and a security system app so I don't miss notifications.

Only other thing I can think of is maybe turning battery saver on. Something is definitely different. I think the phones OS goes into hyper drive or something. When I look at usage on battery my phone will be almost dead and I can only see 50 percent of accounted activities.

I have absolutely noticed a much faster battery drain recently.  I haven't installed any new apps and I use my phone just as I always have. I always keep all background apps off. I would get 2 days out of a charge.  Now I die after about 8 hours. Something has changed.
