Purchased a Galaxy Tab A tablet the other day.  The wifi connection on it was horrible (getting 0-3 Mbps when all other devices getting 25-30).  Took it back to the store and exchanged it.  New one has the same issue. I've factory reset it, I've reset the router, I've cleared cache on the wifi connection.  I don't know what else to do.  If I can't get a consistent connection to wifi it's no go good to me as I won't be able to stream or play games.  Anyone else have a similary issue or a suggestion?

I have the same issue and get less than 1mb download on a 144 mbps line. My note 9 sitting right next to the tab  gets 75mbps download speed, so it isn't interference, router or any other line issue. The tab has been updated to latest firmware and I have disabled all the apps that were running

Hi, on your WIFI connection settings search for MAC address type and change from Randomized MAC to Tablet MAC.

Good Luck!!

I also have the same problem. I have done a factory reset as well and checked to make sure the MAC address type is set to Tablet Mac. Every device in the house was off, including this phone, yet the speed test came back with 0.18 Mbps download speed! That's insane and makes the tablet unusable for getting on the  internet.  All other devices in the house are at or near 42 Mbps when tested. This assures us it's  not a router or provider problem. I am sitting 3 feet from the router, so it's not that I'm too far away either.

Tenho um Tab A8 modelo 2022 e apresenta o mesmo problema: Internet de 50MB porém ele não consegue mais do que 20MB. Fiz vários testes, como:

-Troquei de roteador e o resultado foi o mesmo;

-Troquei de provedor;

-Comparei com outros aparelhos, e somente o tablet apresentou conexão lenta;

-Resetei pelas configurações;

-Resetei com o tablet desligado;

-Mudei o IP para estático;

-Mudei o MAC para MAC do tablet;

-Defini outro endereço IP;

-Testei em outros locais, outras casas;

Infelizmente nada funcionou.

Mandei o tablet para a assistência. O técnico da Samsung fez o teste em uma rede 20MB, mesmo eu relatando que o problema era nas redes de 50MB e 60MB. Moral da história: alegaram que o tablet não tinha problema, e me mandaram de volta.

Have the same problem here in New Zealand.  Bought the tablet in March 2020 for the first 22 months it was great.  Since January 2022 we have had issues.  Tablet goes great for months, then do an update and it turns into a slug.   Have done all the things suggested and Wifi speed is quarter of all other devices in the household.  We live rural and our highspeed Wireless Internet runs at 40Mbs.  When the samsung tablet is having a bad time it will run anywhere between 750 kbs to 11 Mbs.   Then the next update comes through back to normal and it will run at same speed as other devices.  Then another couple of months a new update and we have problems again.  Since the July update it has been playing up.  Our solution will be replacing this device with another brand and putting an axe through it.

I am going to bin my Samsung tablet due to persistent connection problems. I have a 70 speed bt WiFi and a good router.

Every other device here works at full speed. On rare occasions my tablet get to 67 but mostly it's way down even as low as 8 or 9.

Ive tried every suggestion and altered every setting. It's Samsung, not interference and not the router.

I won't buy anything from Samsung in future they are useless!
