Ok. Now I have a real doozy of a question !
I recently got a new phone.. Galaxy A50, I borrowed an older iPhone for the two weeks in between old broken sampsung phone and delivery of new phone...dont know if that has anything to do with it. My old (and now cancelled) simcard is in the borrowed  phone. But now I have my new samsung, with its accompanying sim card  with my number Registere to it..
.so.. what's happening  now is my sent text messages are going through  but I'm not getting some replies from some people. I discovered  it when I was with ppl and they would show me their screen to prove they'd replied and i then showed them my screen  to show there was nothing from them. It appears to be random and inconsistent.  there are some people that I'm pretty sure are not ignoring me on purpose.   I think they have replied but I am not receiving.. hard to tell who's ghosting on purpose and who not  !!
How do I fix this ? ! I have important  work related correspondence pending and I am in the dark  !!! Help !! Thank you !

Did you turn off iMessage? That can case some bugs. It could also be something with your APN settings.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. It's probably something to do with imessage as well.

@jillimartini - I think you should contact your cell provider to see if there could be any problems on their end that could be causing messages not showing up

this crazy happened to me lots over the years. it's the carriers issue. they likely have not removed the old sim info from there server's. so now it's like you have a clone sim. but they are running togather. so your data is being split between them. sent/received are being separated. bring both to your carrier. ask them to wipe both and delete their file on your sim. new sim new apn should solve all your issues cross platform or not. a higher tier tec support rep could see this a mile away. id address them over the phone first. b4 heading into the store front. hopefully this help's.

I may have to go this route. Thank you very much. For your suggestion and sharing your experience. I went back to the old loaner phone with the old SIM card that was supposed to be deactivated and I checked and turned iMessage off. And I saw all my missed messages sitting there in iMessages on the old phone because it only needs wi-fi. Not a phone number. So for some reason I'm getting half the messages to my new phone texting and other half. your iMessage and it's not consistent because those same people with iPhones are also able to get through to me some of the time on my new phone. So, I don't know that I have solved the problem completely by turning off iMessage. I may have to go in like you say and have a tech. Help me. But if I wipe my new SIM card, that means I have to start all over again if I put in a clean SIM card into my new phone, don't I?

you can copy your contacts to your sim then extract them from there. easiest way is to save them as a file. then email yourself the file. when you get a new sim extract them from your email and download them to the new sim card. should fix it. there are youtube and tec videos on it.
