Galaxy ARCS will send over WiFi and LTE only. When WiFi and LTE disabled, your text will send over SMS message instead.

Galaxy A- Unplug router power
- Wait 10 seconds
- Plug power back to router
Wait until you can go out to internet. Send message again over WiFi to test it.
Also, try remembere have you make any changes to router settings? If you do, revert the old settings back. Some advance DNS settings may block the RCS pass through.

Galaxy AHi wonand,
Please note that with firmware update there will be few old features discontinued and there will be new and improved features implemented.
The difference is that SMS refers to text messages, while MMS refers to messages with a picture or video. So, to send an MMS Mobile data is required.
RCS uses a data connection (mobile network or WiFi) to send messages between two RCS-enabled devices. Both sending and receiving devices must have RCS enabled and each customer’s carrier must support RCS messaging. Text-based conversations on RCS also use a small amount of mobile data. When RCS is not available, messages will send as standard SMS/MMS.
