Any info on the Android 10 Update and OneUI for the Samsung A70? I've read online that it's been held off indefinitely due to certain models of the phone bricking once updated, due to different PCBs in the various versions of the A70. Mine is model SM-A705W (in Canada), and I'm still on the December 2019 security update as well, even though it's almost May, and my wife's A50 has received the March 2020 security update. To say that I'm unimpressed with this phone would be an understatement, coming from a Nokia that got updates and security patches almost instantly.

Samsung seems very lipped about this, as information is sparce at best, mainly coming from 3rd party sources. I purchased this phone knowing  that we would at least be getting the Android 10 update, now it's looking like that may not happen? I'm starting to think I should return it and go with an A71, or current Nokia as opposed to this model, which hasn't provided a single update since purchase.

Can anyone advise, or add any potential information regarding this issue? Anyone else with an A70 experiencing the same issue? Thanks everyone.

Did the 10 update tonight. Now my music is a jittery in my playlist and wont comcast to my google speaker now.  The display is horrible.  The system settings is all different.  Was a horrible update. Made things worse.

Hi @Jflam,
Sorry to know about that, Please try to wipe the cache partition of your device and check.
Follow the below steps:
First, turn off the device >> Then Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key >> Then press and hold the Power key >> When the green Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options) >> Press the Volume down key several times to highlight "wipe cache partition" >> Press the Power button to select >> Press the Volume down key until 'yes' is highlighted and press the Power button >> When the wipe cache partition is complete, the “Reboot system now” is highlighted >> Press the Power key to restart the device.
I hope it helps you!

Are we not gonna get the update anytime soon?

At least give us a date when we will get the update please.

I haven't even received a security patch update since January..

My wife recently did the android 10 update on her Canadian A70 a few days ago and it has completely bricked it. Will not power on or charge, tried all the various resets I could think of and nothing... just 100% dead. I would avoid updating until Samsung comes out and guarantees it will not kill your phone. It should be interesting if they will fix/replace it under warrenty.

My God what a mess, makes me glad I ditched the A70 while I could and went with the A71. I think this will be my last Samsung.
