Yeah, top left usually means that it's a Notification coming from an app, as opposed to a System Notification which is normally on the right side of the Status Bar.

You really don't need any "antivirus" software on Android.
For a Windows machine, I'm happy with Microsoft's antivirus, and Windows is quite different from Android, and is potentially more susceptible to viruses, So North on y pc, sure.
As for Android, I've never used any so called antivirus apps, and I've done a lot of testing for developers on a Rooted device, which is probably the most potentially vulnerable device. I have never had any viruses on Android.
