touchscreen is not always responsive

My Samsung S7 touchscreen has always been very responsive.

My Samsung A20 touchscreen is not always responsive, and sometimes I need to touch the same icon twice.

Is it just because the CPU is slow and busy to process touchscreen requests?

Or is it the intended behavior of the user interface?

What can I do to make A20 more responsive?

I do not use a screen protector. I have the latest stock firmware, security patch Feb.1, 2021 and just a few apps installed. Android 10. One UI version 2.0.

Samsung Members app hardware test does not detect any problem. Wiping cache does make any difference.

If A20 is not  good in that respect, what Samsung budget series/models are as responsive as "S"?

Probably not. At least not  intentionally

In Device Care, if you click on battery, did you enable energy saving mode ? Disable it because your CPU is not working at 100% of his capacity

No, I have not changed the default setting, which is Power mode => 'Optimized'

I wonder if A20 has this feature:

Settings → Display →Touch sensitivity

If you have it, try enable it to see if this help.

No, it's not a sensitivity problem

Hi, Could you please let us know if you are facing touch issues on the entire device or on the edges of the phone?

I think the entire screen.

In Samsung fiends app there is a  test for touchscreen. In the test, you test the entire screen including the edges. The test  does not detect any problems.

I think it's more like a software issue.

On my phone, I only use  my Google account and do not  have a Samsung account. Could that  be a problem? Likewise, could  it be, for example, due to Google backup or  Google sync in background?

As I said  before, the issue appears occasionally, not every  time
