I have had the s22 ultra for almost 4 years now. After the first year I've had charging issues. The charging had to be done at a specific angle to charge otherwise it doesnt.
Anybody else have this issue?

Have you tried different USB Charging cables? it sounds like either the issue is with the USB cable not fitting snuggly enough, or an issue with the USB Charging Port itself?

You could run the Diagnostics for the USB Charging Port from Samsung Members app > Support > Diagnostics and see if you get any error messages?

Hi Andy12345,

We sincerely apologize for the charging difficulties you have experienced with your Galaxy S22 Ultra. We understand how inconvenient it must be to adjust the device at a specific angle in order to charge, and we regret that this issue has persisted over time.

To help address the charging concern, we recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Check the charging cable and adapter: Ensure you are using the original Samsung charger and cable.

  • Inspect the charging port: Look for dust, lint, or debris inside the port. Gently clean it with a soft, dry brush or compressed air.

  • Test wireless charging: If available, try charging the device wirelessly to confirm whether the issue is limited to the port.

  • Safe Mode test: Restart the phone in Safe Mode to check if third-party apps are interfering with charging.

  • Physical inspection: If the port feels loose or damaged, professional service may be required.

  • We kindly request that you run a diagnostic test using the Samsung Members application to help identify any potential issues with your device.

Additionally, please try charging with an alternative USB cable and adapter, if available. These steps will assist us in determining the actual cause of the charging problem and allow us to provide more accurate guidance for resolution.

If the issue continues after these steps, we recommend visiting an authorized Samsung service center for a detailed inspection and repair.
