Ok. I'm out of ideas.

Google Play Store simply stops working once I start browsing the store in general. The strangest behaviour as app updates work , browsing my own apps work, using other Google store apps (Music, Movies) work, search works...

BUT, when I generally want to browse the general store home page, it constantly gives me "Google Play Store has stopped". This behaviour only happens on the Google Play Home page and no where else from what I can test and see.

I've force stopped and cleared cache for Google Play Services and Google Play Store. That didn't work.

Next tried wiping the cache partition from Android recovery. That didn't work either.

Edit: LOL oops. not a "tip". Corrected.

Tried, Safe Mode and that didn't help one bit.

So, is anyone else having issues with this? Or is it just me?

I also have the latest update for Google Play Store.

No issues here - What version number of the Play Store do you have? I know that there was an issue with a couple of versions in the past week - The issues were fixed in 10.7.19

OT but did you see THIS... A $55.99 weather app! Wait - What??

Wow. That's a steep app... It better be able to control the weather or at least fetch a nice cold beverage on a nice hot summer day! LOL

The version I have is 10.7.19-all [0] [PR] 202990317

I just noticed this happening recently, so I can only guess it might be something in the update that doesn't agree with the Note 8? It's odd that it only happens on the home page and no where else on mine.

I hate those things. They just take already available open source apps, do little modifications and charge a high price because there are always idiots that buy them

You have the same PS version as me - It COULD be a temporary issue from Google Servers for you - Unless it's always happening albeit recently for you..

As for that app - Maybe it's supposed to be listed in Vietnamese currency:
55.99 VND = 0 CAD
lmao 😀

The stop error just started happening recently and can only assume it's with the current update. Can't think of any other troubleshooting steps to try (besides a factory reset). But not going there just yet as it seems to only occur at that one particular part (browsing the home page). Maybe sync issues with server?

Do one thing, download Google Play Store version 10.6.08 from Apk Mirror or other 3rd party store. Before installing, clear cache & data of your current play store 10.7.1. Then install 10.6.08. Reboot. I believe the homepage crash should go away.
Let us know.

Play Services will almost immediately update the Play Store to the latest version... Some people tried installing a previous version when Play Store was having the LVL issue and it didn't work for them 🐧

I have 10.6.08 for some reason. Try to rollback to the factory version of the app. Doesn't matter if it will auto update to 10.7.whatever
