Note 10 plus root

Seeing as the note 10 plus is no longer the newest flagship, we should be able to root the bootloader.

Any chance we could get a bootloader unlock for the Canadian version of the note 10 plus

We wish. Unfortunately, they don't think we are smart enough to do that in a responsible manner (aka not bricking it) so they decided to prevent you and everyone here yo use your device as you see fit. It's a decision that was taken by Samsung here, not Google or anyone. If you had bought your device in Europe, Asia, Africa or South America, you could have unlocked the bootloader.

The last Canadian Samsung Flagship device - that had an Unlocked Bootloader was the S7 series (which has the Exynos chipset).

I had my S8 plus rooted, custom ROM. Canadian version. was the last flagship I had that had the OEM unlock option.

S8 Canadian Snapdragon variant does NOT have an Unlocked Bootloader - There's a method to obtain a kind of "root" - But you can't Flash TWRP or any Custom Boot img on it.

I wish I still had it,, to show full root, Knox disabled,, runing Lineage OS. Phone was purchased from Telus originally,

You're talking about samPWND/samFAIL - Yeah that's "root" - But the Bootloader is still Locked & you're using Odin to Flash what elliwigy made available & 80% Max battery... But it's not Root with TWRP / Custom Boot img - Knox is "bypassed" But not tripped.
Elliwigy has done a similar thing with the Note9 & S9 series - But the Bootloader is still Locked & you're not able to Flash whatever you want - Currently you are stuck with Oreo.
