Note 20 Ultra 5G network connection problem

I have a Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G and at the end of August 2023 I moved over to Telus on their 5G+, everything was fine and I was I was getting 5G signal. Did a software on September 7th and noticed that I wasn't getting 5G in my area anymore but was still getting 5G in either areas. But somewhere between September 17thand October 1st I no longer have been getting 5G signal. My phone connects to LTE & LTE+ without issue.

Things that I have already tried to resolve the issue but haven't worked:

- Reset network settings

- Did *#2263# in phone dialer to access "ServiceMode" / Band Selection and made sure that NR5G is selected

- When into Settings/Connections/Mobile Networks and made sure that 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM is selected and auto connect

- Wiped data cache

- Changed SIM card

- Spoke with Telus support

- Factory reset phone

- Updated phone this morning with latest update

Still no 5G after all that.

Anybody else got any ideas?

I am having a very similar issue.  Back in July, I switched to a 5G plan with Virgin.  I was not getting any 5G.  Virgin indicated that it was an issue with availability in my area, which I accepted.  Then, after an update (probably to 5.0) I started seeing 5G everywhere.  Oh Joy!

Then, yesterday updated to 5.1 and bam! No 5G for me.  Tried most of the steps you did above, but still nothing.

Let's hope someone acknowledges that there is a problem with network connectivity with 5G and the 5.1 update.

If there is an issue with 5G connectivity, with One UI V5.1, it must be device specific, because I've never had any issues with 5G connectivity, and I am not in a "downtown" location.

This corrected my 5g issue:

Settings

Connections

Mobile networks

Network operators

Hit select automatically

Select network manually: OK

Choose carrier from available networks

Connect  to  the_______network? OK

Now shows 5G

I have tried that multiple times and still no 5G, my issue could be hardware related, I'll be sending my ohms to my friend's repair shop, he'll swap out the 5G antenna

I check my sim with another mobile showing 5 g but on note 20 ultra lte only before 3 month all was ok

Hello All,

 

I have almost the same issue, but I don't have even good signal! most of time the signal it's bad and when people call me it shows to the that my phone it's off. And because of this my net signal bad.

I used another phone ( Samsung S8 ) and the signal became normal!

kindly any suggestion?!
