It's finally here! Canada has received it's long awaited compensation for Note 7 users. Check your emails for one from Samsung, if you purchased a Note 8 and had the Note 7 you'll be eligible for a 200$ MasterCard gift card! Thought it was a scam but another user posted receiving it as well.

This deal is way better then the one in other countries, for once we didn't get shafted so THANK YOU SAMSUNG CANADA! This is incredibly generous 😊

MobileSyrup says that apparently the offer is eligible to anyone who had any Note device and upgrade to the Note 8 but I can't confirm. Basically, it's not just for Note 7 users.

My email says it must be purchased between October 17 & November 9. Looks like pre-orders are out of luck!

You just have to register between then, once you go to the link it says any purchases between September 15th til some point. (Pre order date isn't the purchase date, it'll be whatever date you picked it up or whatever date shows up on the billing charge)

Yeah my email also said only for purchases made after Oct 17... I bought my phone Sept 20.

Mine stated you just have to register for the deal between those dates, when you head to the link it'll show purchase dates between September 15th and whenever.

I went to the website, and Jonathan34 is right. The small print specifically includes purchases from Sept 15! Oddly, it won't accept my IMEI. I'll just keep trying a bit later.
