My Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra is 3 years old; Recently the battery started to drain very fast. The Device care app though shows battery condition as Great!

Today I realized that that the phone's back cobver has came off and I figured it was pushed by battery which is visibly swellen.

Samsung Customer Service, said it's not a safety risk, phone is not under warranty and battery should be replaced at my cost.

ANy similar experience here?

Should I keep using the phone? (Using my phone case, I can keep teh back in place and turn in on)

Any known recall or safety announcement by Samsung on Swellen batteries?

Thanks for your input!

Samsung Customer Service doesn't know what they are talking about!!

A swollen battery IS a SAFETY RISK!

It is a FIRE HAZARD! 🔥

Don't use the phone & ABSOLUTELY do NOT it!

If you have the name of the CSR who told you that, I'd contact Samsung and make a complaint!

Definitely 🙅🏻‍♂️ DO NOT USE the phone. No charging or don't use it until replace the new battery. Whoever told you is safe, this is false and not true. 🤦🏻 Gosh...

If continue charging or using on swollen battery may lead to 🔥🔥🔥 or battery may explode.

Hi everyone
I contacted Samsung again.
They advised to change the battery.
I did change the battery(myself) and works perfectly fine since then.
Thanks all
