Oreo Update Open Discussion

For all those waiting and complaining that we don't have Oreo yet. I'm genuinely curious. What features is it that you all are waiting for?

I For one, think we have all the major features that were outlined in the Google Press conference that announced Oreo but I haven't been keeping up to date with new additions because quite frankly, my Note 8 runs like a beast and if it ain't broke...well you know the rest.

But really, not trying to be hostile just genuinely curious as to why so many people are getting angry over the wait?

I'm patiently waiting, I'm excited to have it as it's new lol, and hopefully the internal tweaks will help with battery and smoothness (I don't have a problem with that now though but more can't hurt lol)

But you're right there isn't really much difference than what we have now

Yeah lol we're all techies and loves the new stuff whatever it is 😂 but yeah extra battery and smoothness never hurts I guess. Thanks for sharing 😊

It's one feature I hope will live up to expectations. Looks like a very good change.

Battery life improvements would be welcomed.

@jonathan34 Yeah I don't know if people are actually angry (some might be - but that's okay) I think that it's a certain amount of frustration for some - The US (T-Mobile and either Sprint or Verizon got the Oreo beta) and we have the exact same hardware - I'm running Oreo 8.1 on a couple of other Samsung devices and while it's not a life changing experience lol - It's definitely a positive o/s upgrade - In addition when some are paying close to $1,000 for a device - You'd expect to be running the "latest & greatest" 😉🐧

Haha yeah good point on the 1000$ purchase running the latest and greatest. And yeah not having the beta I guess frustrated some but there could've been a number of reasons why we didn't get it. Samsung's major flaw is it's transparency.

I have a s7 edge needless to it has the same os as the rest of you... and I am happy with it runs real well for a phone knocking on the door of 2 year old.
yeah we all like the newest this and that but it will get here when it gets here..
In response to shaggyskunk I always buy my phone out right from day of release yes $1000. plus but again it will get here when it gets here.... if your that impatient buy a Google pixel
