So I hear the Samsung S22 ultra will not have sd card support. If so I guess this note 20 ultra will be my last Samsung device.
I've purchased every Note since the Note 4 edge and also had some S devices like the S3 S7 edge and the S8 plus. Though this whole time my work gave me an iPhone every year but I would always buy a Samsung Note.
First Samsung removed features from the S health app like UV sensor and the HR monitor, they removed MST from Spay and now they removed the SD card support.
Seems Samsung is trying to be like Apple. They laughed at apple when apple removed the charges and a yr later Samsung was doing the same. They laughed at apple for years for the notch, now Samsung s8 tab coming with a notch. I guess laugh first and copy next. They laughed at apple for not having sd card and now sd card support for Samsung high end devices has been removed. Seems like appe will always be the trend setter and Samsung follows like a hungry child. Might as well just use the iPhone my job provides since Samsung is just gonna be another apple clone.

I would love a Samsung iphone but I know in the future it won't happen. Now, they removed the SD card support and that means you have to use a sd adapter to transfer pics from your phone to the micro SD adapter, no more card from the phone. I remember the first Note the phone didn't even have that. How do people transfer pics to the phone if no sd card exists and you can't use an sd adapter. I know i'm not alone with this as we are here talking about android. I guess since the phones is just like an iphone people will just upgrade to the iphone.

They tried removing the SD support with the S6 I believe and then they brought it back after some backlash. So I'm hoping that they realize it and bring it back next phone

Well, I had a good run with Samsung, but they've ditched the removable battery, the head phone jack, IR blaster, heart monitor and SPo2 support, and now the SD support. I'll most likely be going elsewhere for my next phone.

The SD slot is my backup space and storage for music, app config files, downloads, etc, not to mention secured storage for things I really don't want on a cloud server. Removing the SD slot to me is on par with yanking out additional HDD slots in a PC motherboard.

This might be the worst decision Samsung has made yet. Hopefully they bring some of these previously removed features back on the next device. I don't understand what they're saving my stripping SD support 🀷🏻 ♂️
