My Note 8 screen is badly burned in. It is less than a year old. Is there anyone here that has had this repaired or replaced? I am in Canada, without any extended warranty.
Tx

set a dark wallpaper for a few days or even a few weeks, sometimes that can help...

Tx all responses...I have a short display on time st but also have max resolution set. it's one of the best features of the phone and if it can't handle it then they'll have to fix it.

Having said that @Richman the local authorized repair shop is assuming it isn't just a screen and insists on escalating to a depot on the other side of the country. I am contacting the local Telus store to see if they can help.

@ChMultimedia I was wondering if @gokongming was saying buying an additional warranty would let me have a new phone shipped instead of sending this for repair.

@SnowCat19 if the hardware isnt' up to it Samsung has more to worry about than a wallpaper. I have used samsung since before my Note 1, then 3 and now 8. If I had to start tailoring wallpaper cause their hardware could not handle it then it's time to give the Google Pixel a shot...i'll attach my current and long time wallpaper.

I did spend some time with my phone provider support, and I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and have the store send it in. I do have my Note 3 and a sim card adapter so I should be able to continue using that. It s@cks , but with my warranty running out next month no choice.

BTW....the support guy says he sees other issues with Note 8 burn in, and a mention of a software update in June regarding it but was kinda fuzzy on details. If so then the damage occurred before. He also said the records he saw had the motherboard replaced. I'll hope for the best.11681b00-b2b6-4337-a27c-6204ef72ae19.jpg

yeah, my provider support is having me take it to a local corporate store to officially trouble shoot....turns out what i still owe on it is gonna be much less than repairs. I am hopeful i can just talk them into replacing the phone.....
