Steps to fix Galaxy Note 8 fingerprint scanner issues

  • The fingerprint scanner on Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is located at the back of the phone. Most times the problem may be because of its physical location which is beside the camera at the back. This may make it inconvenient for the users to reach while scanning their fingers. We suggest you hold your phone correctly and place your finger in the exact position so the phone may read the biometric.
  • Another problem may be the case on the phone – if you are using one. Your finger may not be able to touch the sensor properly because of the raised case. Try removing the case and try using the fingerprint scanner.
  • There may be dust or debris on the sensor of the scanner, try using a soft cloth to clean it and then try again.
  • If the problem in detecting your fingerprints still persists you should delete your saved fingerprint. There could be a problem in detecting the corners or tips of your finger. Re-install a new one and this time ensure that you scan all the corners and tips of your finger. Go to Settings > Lock Screen and Security > Fingerprint Scanner > Follow the instructions on the screen.

you can just share a link, weather you take time to type it all out or copy and paste....it's technically just taking information from someone else and not putting a "source" c'mon we already have enough people in the forms who do this. here is the BIGGEST secret in Samsung Members. if you don't know the answer.....it's OK!!! no one is judging you we all appreciate everyone's input and suggestions.

@KingShaikh read my message again, im not supporting you, I am saying what your doing is wrong. I agree with @CHMultimedia and as him and myself and many others, when we post messages from other websites we always put the source, otherwise your basically just copying someone else's article and information. So in future please just put the link or include the source.

Personally I'm not ok with plagiarism so when I look up the problem online, I give the source.
