(S10+) I have a couple of apps that I require for accessibility purposes (Material Shade & Navbar-apps). These in turn require accessibility permissions to work. I set the accessibility permissions, and sometimes within minutes, other times in a few hours or a day or two, the permissions get turned off. I can force-stop the apps, clear the cache and reset the accessibility permissions. Sometimes that works, other times I need to reboot the phone... and reset the permissions. This has been going on for YEARS, and on other devices. Can Samsung please stop overriding my accessibility permissions settings? You don't have my PERMISSION to change my permissions settings! Is there any way to make the settings actually stick?

Open Settings & Search for the App > Scroll down to "Battery" and set them to Not Optimized.

I have set battery from optimized to unrestricted on every app I could think of EXCEPT the Accessibility app! (Which I didn't realize was an app, that has the setting.) Hopefully, this will keep the setting set! Tech support told me to reinstall my phone. Ugh...

Do either of those apps require adb / Shizuku to enable them?

No, no ADB or root or anything special required, except of course Accessibility permissions. These work great, for a while, until Samsung decides to kill them. Between them they almost completely eliminate transparency and blur on the notification shade and bar, and the status bar. Can even be set to pretty colours, which is nice, but not the point. I find non-consensual transparency impossibly distracting, because I literally can't "ignore" the other layer. Essential accessibility support for me. The fact that the Accessibility module itself gets battery "optimized" by default is rather sad.

That's odd. I've got about 12 apps that require Accessibility to be "On", and I haven't had any issues with it 🤔

I don't however use the two apps you have.

Neither of those apps are set to "Sleeping"? I have mine set to "Never Sleeping". You may want to check yours.

I use those two apps literally every moment of every single time I turn on the phone. They are definitely not sleeping! I've also gone through every app on the phone and turned off the "feature" that kills permissions if it is not used. I've also turned battery optimization to unrestricted. There are many other threads where people complain about Samsung turning off accessibility permissions.

There's no issues with Accessibility turning off on my S20 Ultra One UI V5.1.

I have had a couple of previous Samsung devices where Accessibility would turn off, but only for one specific app. As far as I'm concerned, it was the app that was the issue.
