Does anyone have issues with Android Auto usb connection on their S23 Ultra.? My Android Auto doesn't seem to work from today onwards. It was working yesterday, but today when I connected my S23 ultra using USB C cable, it just shows connecting on top of the phone but doesn't successfully complete the connection. My old iPhone 8 plus based Apple Carplay connected successfully. So it's not usb issues. S23 is get charging also through usb connection. But my Android Auto doesn't work somehow. Does anyone have same problem with their S23 Ultra. ???

It still could be your usb cable is the problem - it needs a real good connection

You could also try going to settings, apps, android auto, storage and clear the cache and reboot your phone and if that doesn't work do the same and clear the data and reboot

I don't have S23 ultra but had the problem on my S22 and clearing the cache fixed the problem

Thank you Ray1.

Hi, as adviced by Ray1 please try to Clear cache and Clear data for the Android auto app and check for the issue.

While most USB cables look similar, there can be huge differences in terms of their quality and charging speeds.

Android Auto requires a high quality USB cable that is capable of supporting data transfers.

If the device isn't recognized, remove the USB device and then re-insert it.

Same problem. I drive a 2019 Q5 and my new Galaxy S23 won't even launch Android Auto when connected via cable. When l connect that same cable to my Galaxy S20, Android Auto launches. I switch the cable back to the
S23 and Android Auto disappears. l've tried clearing cache and updating Android auto. l can get S23 phone calls to work through the car with smartphone connection, but the actual Android Auto functionality is not there at all.

This problem has been reposted multiple times since the S23 Ultra came out mainly specifying this device as having problems connecting.

I doubt it would be any different but have you tried connecting wirelessly to your vehicle to see if it might work??

Yes I tried that too. I get basic cellphone connection so I can make/receive phone calls through the car, but there is no Android Auto functionality. I checked some other posts online and it looks like there might be a problem with Audi and Volkswagen MMIs. I have a message into them.

I have the exact same issue. My S23 does not connect to Android Auto while other Samsung phones connect without problem using the same cable.

I have updated both car and phone software, changed cable to a high-quality data ready short cable, cleared cache, etc.

I even opened a call with support and sent the phone, but it was returned indicating that it passed all tests, but still no connection to Android Auto.

Has anyone else run into this issue? I am very frustrated with this device, while all other Samsung phones I had have worked perfectly.

It's mostly problem with usb options. My phones problem is solved by couple of time playing with usb options and usb debugging options in the developer settings.
